EYFS Class Teacher

- Location: Primary School in Leeds (LS13)
Details of the role:
A primary school in Leeds (LS13) near Bramley, requires a full time EYFS teacher. The school are looking for a suitable candidate to start in March 2021 until July 2021 with the view to become permanent from July 2021. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a good understanding of the EYFS Framework. In addition, you must have experience teaching Phonics, particularly Letters and Sounds. The Head Teacher is willing to consider NQTs as well as experienced teachers for this role.
About the school:
The school provides an ideal EYFS setting including well organised outdoor provision, a wide variety of structured continuous provision and challenge areas. At the beginning of the academic year a high percentage of children started school not ‘school ready’ and required support in fundamental skills such as toileting, speech and language and communication skills. Based on previous years, the Head Teacher has already assigned two teaching assistants to work in the EYFS class since September. Generally good progress is made by the pupils throughout the school and behaviour on the whole is excellent. The Head Teacher leads the school well and the SLT and teaching staff have high standards across the board.
Successful applicants will need to:
- Hold QTS in the UK
- Have recent EYFS teaching experience
- Experience using the EYFS Framework
- The ability to motivate and lead pupils
- Have a passion for education
- Be willing to work as part of a team
- Have high expectations of children’s attainment and behaviour
- Be committed to the role
- Hold a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one
