Job description

Teaching Personnel are seeking an Early Years Practitioner for a 'Good' rated Primary School located in the Abbey Wood area. This position is perfect for someone planning on undertaking Teaching Training in the near future.

The Position

The position is for an Early Years Educator to join their EYFS department within the school. The school is 2 form entry with a 70 place Nursery as well as a Speech & Language provision. As an Early Years Educator you will take a support role with the children's learning under the Teachers guidance. There are lots of development and progression opportunities within the position.

This is a school Teaching Personnel have worked with over the last few years and have had a number of people go permanent at the school. The role is full-time, 8:30am - 4pm on Monday to Friday. The general idea is you will work through the agency from January until July and sign a permanent contract then.

Successful Candidate Criteria:

Candidates with the following are more likely to be shortlisted:

  • Childhood Related degree
  • An NVQ Level 3 in Early Years Childcare/ equivalent
  • At least 6 months experience working with Primary aged children.
  • Experience with the 7 Frameworks of EYFS
  • Bubbly personality and someone who is happy to go the extra mile.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Good level of Literacy and Numeracy skills
  • A passion for and goal of getting into Teaching as a career
  • Able to commit long term with an interest to take up a contract with the school.
