EAL TEACHING ASSISTANT - DONCASTER

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with A Secondary School in the Doncaster area to help aid their supply needs. Due to a position opening within their support staff team, the school are looking for an EAL teaching assistant to join their team on a full time basis until the end of the academic year. This position will involve working with children from a range of cultural and social backgrounds, including children who speak English as a second language, previous experience or the ability to speak Polish or Slovak Roma would be advantageous for any interested applicants. You will work with children in small groups and on an individual basis, with a focus to develop their English language skills and improve their confidence during the regular school day.

  • Full time on going supply position starting ASAP
  • Must have previous experience delivering EAL support in a secondary school
  • Languages speaking daily include; Polish or Slovak Roma
  • Supply position initially on a full time long term basis
  • Rate of pay to match previous experience (weekly supply pay)

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
