Learning Support Assistants – Helping children with English as an Additional Language reach their full potential.

If you’re a learning support assistant interested in working on a full or part time basis, you may wish to consider working as an EAL Intervention Specialist through Teaching Personnel.

We are looking for people who can support in the following languages:

• Polish Pashto/Pakhto Gujarati Urdu

• Russian Bengali Italian Lithuanian

• Yoruba Mandarin Turkish Albanian

• Somali Spanish Tamil German

• French Arabic Portuguese Panjaba

There are a number of EAL roles available through Teaching Personnel, working with pupils on a one – to – one and small group basis. Pupils will have a mixed ability and command of English and your role will be to provide support and encouragement that facilitates the learning and fast integration into school, providing them with every opportunity to reach their full academic potential.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
