EAL Teaching Assistant required for Primary School in Brent

  • £60+ per day, depending on experience
  • Term time only, full-time position
  • Access to training courses such as; Autism Awareness, Team Teach

Do you enjoy working with young children? Are you charismatic, personable and caring?

Teaching Personnel are recruiting 4x EAL teaching assistants to work in a Primary School located in the borough of Brent. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain some valuable classroom experience. You will be given the support from the senior leadership team in place at the school.

About the role:

*Providing 1:1 support to children who have English as an Additional Language

*Taking small groups of children for guided reading and writing sessions

*Assisting the classroom teacher with the preparation of learning materials

*Tidying up the classroom

*Ensuring that pupils who have EAL are able to keep up with the lesson

The suitable candidate:

*At least 3months experience supporting children with EAL

*At least 3months experience supporting children in a classroom setting

*Good command of the English language

*Charismatic and personable

*CELTA qualification would be ideal but not a necessity

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
