Position Overview:

As a Science Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing targeted support to students who may be struggling in science subjects. Working closely with our experienced teaching staff, you will inspire a love for science, boost student confidence, and help them achieve their academic goals.

Responsibilities:

• Offer one-on-one and small group support to students who are falling behind in science.
• Collaborate with science teachers to design and implement personalized learning plans.
• Create an engaging and motivating atmosphere for learning science.
• Adapt teaching materials to accommodate diverse learning styles and needs.
• Provide encouragement and mentorship to boost student self-belief and enthusiasm for science.
• Monitor student progress and communicate insights to teachers and parents.
• Contribute to the preparation and organization of science resources.
• Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Requirements:

• A bachelor's degree in a science-related field (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Physics, etc.).
• A genuine passion for science and a desire to help struggling students succeed in the subject.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in explaining scientific concepts.
• Patience, empathy, and an encouraging approach to teaching.
• Strong organizational abilities and a collaborative mindset.
• Prior experience working with students, particularly in a teaching assistant role, is advantageous but not mandatory.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
