Job description

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit teaching assistants who have experience supporting within an EAL capacity. The successful candidate will be working full time in a secondary school to support an individual that needs extra support to communicate and breakdown the basic curriculum.

You would be supporting 1:1 a student who does not have English as a first language through their GCSE exams and basic skills qualifications. The role may also involve liaising between the school and the families in order to report progress and ensure an education plan is being followed where possible.

The school are very well equipped and the use of technology will aid the successful Teaching Assistant/Support staff. Ideally the successful candidate will have experience with English as an additional language; however we would look at candidates with excellent communication skills that has worked with children in a supportive setting in previous roles.
