A primary school in Blackburn are looking for a full-time support assistant to provide additional support for selection children with EAL. This role would be to start once schools re-open so it could be from Monday 8th March 2021. The Head Teacher and SLT would ideally like to meet with shortlisted candidates to discuss the role in a little more detail and well as discuss the candidates prior experience. You must have experience and knowledge in supporting children with EAL. This larger than average primary school is in Blackburn, to be successful in this role you need to have patience and a caring nature. 

The Head Teacher is looking to shortlist and interview by Thursday 4th March 2021, the interview will most likely be via a video call. 

Here is a description of the role: 

-          During the school day you would be supporting pupils in KS2 (small group/ 1:1 basis).

-          You would be planning and delivering tailored interventions for specific children within LKS2 in the afternoons.

-          You would have time to plan the sessions and discuss the progress of the pupils with the class teacher on a weekly basis.

-          The expectations of the role would be 5 days a week (8.45am - 3.30pm). The pay is negotiable depending on experience.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
