EAL specialist teaching assistant - Ealing - full time - flexible salary

Looking for a permanent position within the Ealing area?

Are you experienced working with adults or children with English as an additional language?

We are currently recruiting for an English as an additional language specialist, to work with a range of students from KS1 to KS2. You will be working within a school based in the Ealing area, working alongside the class teachers to create class room activities to suit their ability. You will be working closely with students with a variety of students, from all different backgrounds. Within this particular school there are students from a variety of backgrounds, including Japanese and Indian students.

This full time position will involve adapting from class to class, building a good rapport with students and staff. They are ideally looking for someone with a background in working with adults or children with English as an additional language, to help them merge in the school community.

The three form entry school has developed vastly in the past 5 years, seeing their numbers in students grow. With this influx in students from different backgrounds they are looking for dedicated teaching assistants to work until the end of the academic year, with the prospect to continue. It is a well structure school with a well established senior leadership team, priding themselves on celebrating individual differences they need someone to invest time in to their students personal development.

Ideal candidate:

  • Experienced working with students or adults with English as an additional language
  • Able to help support the development of classroom activities, working around each classes particular needs
  • Positive and outgoing personality within the classroom
  • A valid DBS or willing to apply for one
