DT Textiles Teacher

Calling all DT Teachers!

Teaching Personnel are actively seeking a DT teacher with the specialism in Textiles to start in September 2021 for the academic year. This is a fulltime role in the CF40 area with a daily rate of GBP138-180 dependant on experience.

Our school in the Tonypandy area are excited to welcome a new member to the team in the new academic term, after a turbulent year during COVID our school are looking to start the year off strong. The school have seen an increase in the interest in Design Technology within the school meaning that they are now looking to expand the team.

The school are looking for a confident Textiles specialist to support key stage 3 general DT supporting all aspects of the subjects. In addition to that you will be required to teach key stage 4 pupils specialising in textiles, following the national DT Textiles curriculum. You will be given access to the DT department with all equipment needed to enhance your teaching during the placement.

As well as supporting the large DT department you will be expected to carry out full planning and marking responsibilities for all classes. The school are looking for a DT teacher who will be proactive and engaging within the lesson to promote good behaviour throughout. Our school are offering onsite parking, additional CPD courses and a member of staff on hand for any concerns during your time at the school.

The ideal DT Textiles Teacher –

-          Ability to work fulltime

-          Can travel to the CF40 Area

-          Textiles specialism

-          NQT or QTS status

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
