Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a Maths Graduate to join one of our client secondary schools in Manchester. This position will be a full-time position, starting in September at the beginning of the academic year.

For this position, it is essential that you are a recent Maths Graduate, based in Manchester, looking to start a career in education. You must be willing to apply for a fully enhanced DBS check and to provide at least two employment-based opportunities.
The key responsibilities of this position are:
- Assisting the teaching staff in their preparation and delivery of lessons.
- Working closely with small groups of pupils who are struggling with their Maths and need additional support.
- Helping to manage the behaviour of pupils to create a safe and productive learning environment.
- Ensuring that all safeguarding procedures are being followed correctly and that any situations that arise are dealt with in an appropriate manner.
This school is located in East Manchester and is easily commutable to from the surrounding areas of Gorton, Droylsden, Denton and Openshaw. The school currently has an Ofsted rating of 1 meaning that the school is considered to be ‘outstanding’. 56% of their students achieve a grade 5 or higher in both Maths and English, this is 10% higher than the national average. 20% of their pupils do not speak English as their first language, this is only 3% higher than the national average. The school is relatively new but since its opening it has gained an excellent reputation for the education that it is providing.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
