Special Needs Teaching Assistant - West Sussex Area - Driving Licence - SEN School - Urgently required to start ASAP!

The Special Needs Teaching Assistant

The ideal Special Needs Teaching Assistant must have previous experience supporting those with severe complex needs including PMLD, ASD, SLD and behavioural difficulties, personal care may also be involved.

Due to the schools location it is preferable for candidates to be able to drive as there is a lack of public transport in the area.

The Teaching Assistant will be able to…

  • Aid the pupil to learn as effectively as possible both in group situations and on his/her own.
  • Motivating and encouraging the pupil(s) as required by providing levels of individual attention, reassurance and help with learning tasks as appropriate to pupils' needs.
  • Consistently and effectively implementing agreed behaviour management strategies.
