I am recruiting for an Ofsted rated 'Good' Secondary school in Milton Keynes who are seeking to appoint a Drama Teacher for September 2018. The school provides quality education for children aged 11 - 18 years old where all students are given the opportunity to flourish through a student centred culture which is dynamic, challenging and affirming.

About the Role:

As a Drama Teacher at this school you will be leading classes in Key stage 3 and 4, supporting pupils working towards GCSE examinations. This is a full time, long term Drama Teacher role with competitive rates of pay reflecting experience and workload.

About the school:

This is a position within an Ofsted rated 'Good' school, located in Milton Keynes. The Drama department has two full time subject specialist teachers and a visiting practitioner who regularly work with examination groups. The team organise and direct two large scale productions a year and run a number of theatre visits, extra-curricular clubs, projects and an annual residential drama trip. The school also boasts a large theatre to showcase and support the students drama work.

The successful candidate will have:

  • UK QTS
  • Bachelor of Education / PGCE / or equivalent teaching degree in Drama/Performing Arts
  • Proven experience of teaching Drama to Key Stages 3 - 5
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Applicable teaching references
  • Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service

The school is looking for someone who is proactive, engaging and inspiring, who is able to plan and prepare learning opportunities tailored to the individual needs of the student and someone who can assess individual learning needs and work on a group and class basis.

It is essential that you are able to maintain positive behaviour management strategies in line with school policies whilst being committed to ensuring pupils make good sustained progress and encourage pupils to reach their full potential through engaging and stimulating teaching.
