Job description

Drama/Performing Arts tutor
Teaching Personnel are working alongside a secondary school based in Portsmouth who are looking to appoint a full time Drama/Performing Arts Teacher. The role would begin after Easter although the school will consider a later start for the right applicant.
The school holds high expectations for all its pupils and staff and of course this is expected to be carried out within your planning, delivery and assessment.

Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher with QTS or overseas equivalent
  • Evidence/track record of excellent teaching and good classroom management
  • Ability to teach Performing Arts/Drama to KS3-4
  • Commitment to exceptional standards of teaching, marking and planning

The school is relatively small with just under 700 students on roll including a 6th form. There may be an opportunity to teach KS5 for the right applicant. At present, the school is working towards its targets of increasing staff opportunities by creating a bespoke CPD programme tailored to teachers career path. In its most recent Ofsted report the school maintained its 'Good' status with particular mention to the support of SLT and its commitment to professional development.
