Drama Graduate

Job description

Teaching Personnel are looking for Drama Graduates in the Derby City and Derbyshire area to work in a variety of Special Educational Needs schools.

We are looking for people who are creative and have experience within schools or an educational background.

You will be working with a variety of SEN such as Autism, PMLD, SEMH and Learning Difficulties.

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Qualified to A Level (minimum) in Drama or other related subjects
  • Willing to undertake additional CPD training if required
  • Able to drive and available full time (desired but not essential)
  • Creative and innovative when working with hard to reach young people
  • Be willing to work with students of all ages and abilities
  • Be able to engage learners using Drama to break down their learning barriers.
  • Willing to work in SEN provisions with learners who may have sensory difficulties - helping to encourage and enhance their fine motor skills

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
