Full time Drama and Performing Arts teacher required from February 2019 till the end of the academic year for a Bolton based Secondary school.

With a member of staff taking long term sickness leave, this over subscribed Secondary school wishes to appoint an innovative drama and performing arts teacher on a full time basis to work with pupils across Key stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

  • Must hold QTS alongside subject specific qualifications within Drama and Performing Arts.
  • Opportunity to work within an Ofsted graded 'Good' Bolton based Secondary school.
  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS £23, 720 - £39, 406.

Drama and Performing Arts is a popular subject area amongst the pupils at Key Stages 3 & 4, with a growing number of pupils selecting the subject at GCSE. The successful practitioner will inspire pupils, through crafting their Drama expertise and clarity of dynamic strategies and elements.

The responsibilities for the Drama and Performing Arts teacher will include;

  • Plan, prepare and deliver innovative Drama and Performing Arts lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Provide an inclusive learning experience which enables each pupil to maximise their potential.
  • Confidently manage behaviour in accordance to school behaviour policies.

Located at the heart of Bolton can be accessed via the M61 and the surrounding areas; Bury, Salford and Wigan. The school can also be accessed through various public transport options with links across Greater Manchester.
