Design Technology Teacher - York
Teaching Personnel is looking to employ a Design Technology Teacher to work with students at risk of, or who have been excluded from mainstream education. To be successful in this post, you will need to be enthusiastic, charismatic, passionate and provide engaging lessons.
The Job Role:
- To plan and deliver practical Design Technology lessons to Key Stage 3 and 4 pupils who are unable to access mainstream education
- To track and monitor progress in-line with the GCSE and BTEC courses
- To help raise attainment within the Design Technology Department
- To provide students with life skills needed to be successful within their chosen job sector
- To work alongside other Teachers and Senior Leaders to ensure EHCPs are met
- To provide engaging and innovative lessons
About the School:
- Based in Fulford, south York with access via car (A64) or bus; bus stop outside the School
- Rated as Good in their most recent Ofsted inspection
- Education provider to Primary and Secondary students unable to access mainstream education due to temporary or permanent exclusions, social, emotional and meantal health needs (SEMH) and other complex needs
- Facilities include a Skills Centre, Garden area, Woodland Conservation and a Sports Field
- Highly supportive Senior Leadership Team
