Role: Design Technology Teacher
Location: Bradford
Design Technology Teacher required in Bradford, BD4
Teaching Personnel are working alongside one of our client secondary schools on the outskirts of Bradford to secure a Design Technology teacher for an upcoming post.
This opportunity would be ideal for a Design and Technology teacher looking for a permanent post as this post has arisen due to a gap in the department arriving with late notice. The position would initially be pay rolled through Teaching Personnel over the first 3 months, with a permanent contract available thereafter.
Highlights of Design and Technology job role;
- Start date January 2020, school willing to wait until February/March for the right candidate
- Full time Design and Technology teacher required
- Teaching Resistant Materials and Product Design mainly, KS3/GCSE
- Excellent facilities in modern secondary school in Bradford
- Good accessibility from town centre via public transport
- Payment in line with teaching scale point for duration of assignment
Situated on the outskirts of Bradford towards Leeds, our client is a well-established secondary school. The school boasts excellent facilities and a community feel in which all students and staff feel respected and encouraged to commit to high standards of teaching and learning. Since moving to a purpose built site in recent years, the school has gone from strength to strength in all measures, including progress, attainment and attendance. The Technology department benefits from excellent workshop areas for all disciplines including Resistant Materials, Graphics and Design along with Food Technology so the incoming Technology teacher will benefit from excellent provisions for learning.
To be taken into consideration for this position, you will need to hold a relevant teaching based qualification specialising in Design and Technology, previous experience teaching Resistant Materials and/or Product Design at GCSE level, the ability to deliver engaging theory and practical lessons and a commitment to securing a long term position with a view to joining the school on a permanent basis.
