This school was voted by OFSTED as 'Good' in 2017 and is continuing to make changes and striving for greatness. They're looking for a motivated and creative individual who is keen to become part of the school's community.

We are partnered with a secondary school in Dorchester that wishes to appoint a Design and Technology teacher to start as soon as possible until the end of the academic year, there will be an opportunity to earn a permanent position subject to performance during this initial period.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Teaching Design Technology at both KS3 & KS4 Level
  • Engaging students within the classroom
  • Managing behaviour within the classroom
  • Working within a successful and strong department to share resources and methods of best practice

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold NQT or QTLS as a DT Teacher (PGCE)
  • Experience teaching Design Technology within the UK
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Be motivated, energetic and passionate about the development of young people
  • Strong subject knowledge

Although to may specialise in one area of DT, we expect the right candidate to be willing to help out with resistant materials, food tech, textiles and product design when needed
