With COVID-19 responsible for school closures, schools are now looking to recruit in preparation for the new academic year. Design and Technology Teacher

Salary:
GBP24,373 - GBP40, 490 per year.
Start Date:
7/9/2020
The applicant will:
- Hold QTS (or an equivalent qualification)
- Be educated to degree level (preferably in DT or a related subject)
- A proven track record in the delivery of quality DT lessons across KS3 and KS4.
The role will involve:
- Teaching related to Resistant Materials, Textiles, Graphics as well as general design lessons.
- Preparing educational material and resources that are suitable in ensuring that pupils remain engaged with the learning process.
- Competently using relevant equipment, as well as being able to safely demonstrate the procedures related to the use of this equipment .
- Encouraging students to produce unique pieces of work, working with students on both an individual and group basis.
- Applying strategies to help those requiring additional support, including those with SEN, as well as those who require EAL support.
- Working with relevant SEN support staff, to ensure that work is differentiated to meet the needs of these pupils.
- Being able to work to school curriculum, as well as ensuring that pupils are adhering to school policy (relating to behaviour expectations primarily)
(This role is for 1 term in the first instance)
The candidate will:
- Receive training, and continuous personal development throughout.
- Gain invaluable experience within a busy secondary school.
Pay - between GBP24,373 and GBP40,490 per year, based on previous experience.
The school’s location is a short distance away from Manchester. There are numerous public transport links that are in close proximity to the school itself, as well as multiple motorway links also close by.
