SEN Teaching Assistant – Day-to-Day Supply

Location: Skelmersdale 
Contract: Day-to-day / Supply
Pay: Competitive daily rate

We are currently recruiting for experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistants to support Special Educational Needs (SEN) schools on a day-to-day supply basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking for flexible work while making a meaningful impact in specialist education settings.

The Role

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD and complex learning difficulties
  • Working on a one-to-one basis or in small groups
  • Assisting the class teacher in delivering tailored and engaging lessons
  • Using positive behaviour management strategies
  • Supporting pupils with daily routines, transitions and, where required, personal care

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN
  • A patient, resilient and proactive approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to adapt to different school environments
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
