Darwen School requires Behaviour Support Assistant

Job description

Teaching Personnel work closely with a Darwen based School which provides education and support for KS3/4 pupils with additional learning needs including; SEMH Difficulties, Autism, ADHD and challenging behaviours. The School is smaller than average and caters for pupils who can no longer remain in mainstream education. The candidate suited to this role must be hard working, passionate and committed to making a difference in these pupils lives.

The role will be full time and candidates must be able to work Monday - Friday 8.30am - 3.30pm and you WILL be expected to have lunch with the pupils, although, lunch will be provided for free. The role will require a candidate with tenacity, resilience and empathy and a passion for working with pupils who are harder to reach.

The candidate must have experience supporting pupils with challenging behaviours and be looking for a long term/permanent role as the role will become permanent for the right candidate.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
