Full time Design & Technology Textiles teacher, Maternity cover based in a Bury Secondary school, throughout September 2018-2019.

  • Full time D&T Textiles teacher - Maternity cover, Bury, September 2018.
  • Must hold QTS - both experience teachers and NQT's are welcome to apply.
  • Maternity cover secured for 12 months, until the end of the academic year 2019
  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS £22,917 - £38,633. Dependant upon experience.*

This diverse faith school, based in bury, has just over 1000 pupils on roll, aged 11-16. The school has been graded 'Outstanding ', and continues to move forward under the guidance of its senior leadership team.

The incoming D&T Textiles teacher can expect to join a supportive staff team, in a department enjoyed by pupils across the board. You will be expected to;

  • Plan, prepare and monitor class work reporting back to Senior Leadership accordingly.
  • Experience working with the D&T Textiles curriculum at Key Stage 3-4 is essential and any additional experience will be highly beneficial.
  • Manage behaviour in accordance to the school behaviour policies.
  • Promote a growth mind set amongst all young people in order to raise attainment.

This well respected secondary school can be easily accessed via the M60 and the surrounding areas; Bolton, Rochdale and Salford. There are also a range of public transport options for those who do not drive, with links throughout Greater Manchester.
