Dance Teacher (Maternity Cover)
Location: Chorley, Lancashire
Start Date: January
Contract: Full-Time, Maternity Cover
Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)

We are seeking an enthusiastic and talented Dance Teacher to join our vibrant secondary school in Chorley from January on a full-time maternity cover contract.

This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and engage students in a supportive and creative environment, delivering high-quality dance lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.

About the Role:

As a key member of the Performing Arts department, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and inclusive dance lessons.

  • Prepare students for assessments, performances, and external qualifications (where applicable).

  • Contribute to extracurricular activities such as dance clubs, school productions, and showcases.

  • Promote a love of dance and creativity within the school community.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

  • A specialism in Dance or a related performing arts subject.

  • Experience teaching Dance at secondary level.

  • A passion for engaging students of all abilities and backgrounds.

  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
