Are you a recent Criminology graduate, who is seeking a Teaching Assistant role in a local primary school?

Perhaps you are considering becoming a teacher in the near future and are looking to gain some experience before applying for your PGCE?

A 'Good' OFSTED rated primary school based in Edmonton are seeking to appoint a pro-active and resilient Teaching Assistant to join their current staffing team. The role would involve assisting the class teacher in a Key Stage 1 class, supporting with small groups and on a 1:1 basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and committed individual, who is considering studying for their PGCE in the future, or seeking experience supporting children with challenging behaviour.

A successful candidate will:

  • Be qualified with a degree in Criminology
  • Have some experience supporting children, ideally of a primary school age
  • Have excellent behaviour management skills
  • Have a flexible and passionate approach to teaching!

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
