One of our Ofsted rated good schools in the Reading area are seeking new Cover Supervisors to assist in covering their classes when members of staff are unable to come in.

This secondary school is praised for being one of the more successful comprehensives in the UK and offering well rounded support across the many departments in the school as well as senior leadership. They regularly need cover and work with Teaching Personnel for staff.

As a Cover Supervisor in this role you will need to;

  • Engage and build positive rapport with entire classrooms across the school
  • Use your natural presence and confidence to deliver the cover work left by the teacher - aiming to have the lesson objectives completed by the end of the lesson
  • Manage classroom behaviour by working with the school's behaviour policy
  • Have a general understanding of the subjects taught in the KS3-4 curriculum (being a specialist is not essential)
  • Collaborate and support other Cover Supervisors already in the team
  • Have a genuine desire to inspire and support every pupil's academic, emotional & social progression

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
