Cover teachers needed for Glossop secondary school

Job description

Large mixed comprehensive Secondary school in Glossop are looking for regular supply teachers to provide cover support to their departments.

Teaching Personnel works closely with our client school to provide cover teachers for staff absence, course cover and planned trips. Working as a supply teacher you will be fully welcomed and integrated within the school that is supportive and friendly.

Teaching on supply will provide a flexible work pattern to meet your needs with the reduced pressure of full time teaching. You will need to have a professional attitude and engaging personality to motivate students and employ behaviour management techniques.

The school regularly achieves in line with national averages in GCSE examinations with 55% of students achieving at least 5 A*-C grades including Maths and English in their latest exams.

Supply teachers will need to meet the following requirements;

  • QTS or NQTS
  • Ability to build relationships with students using your own teaching style
  • Flexible attitude to the requirements of your day covering across departments if required
  • Submerge yourself within the school ethos, values and expectations

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
