Job description

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking day-to-day cover supervisors and Long term cover supervisors for the Maidstone / Medway areas.

  • Ideal for aspiring secondary school teachers
  • Work in a range of schools mainly across Isle Of Sheppey, Sittingbourne & Surrounding
  • Earn good money and gain experience with the potential for gaining teaching qualifications
  • Musts:
  • Be able to work from 8.30am-15.30pm weekdays
  • A child only workforce DBS on the update service or willing to pay for a new child only DBS (£44) and then subscribe to the update service (£13)
  • No recent criminal convictions/cautions.
  • Have a full original birth certificate, full driving licence and/or valid passport.
  • -If from outside the UK a right to work VISA.
  • Able to provide two proofs of address (Accepted documents attached)As a cover supervisor your role and responsibilities will include:
  • Covering lessons in the absence of the timetabled teacher.
  • Supervising the delivery of the cover work by effectively communicating the work set to students.
  • Ensuring the required resources needed in order to effectively deliver the covered lessons are available.
  • Managing the behaviour of pupils whilst they are undertaking set work to ensure a positive learning environment.
  • Responding to any questions from pupils about process and procedures.
  • Dealing with any immediate problems or emergencies in accordance with school policy and procedures.
  • Collecting completed work after lesson and returning it to the appropriate teacher

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
