Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a secondary school in the Newport area in order to recruit a Cover Supervisor/Unqualified teacher. The school are seeking a Cover Supervisor to work in the schools cover team on a full time basis. This Cover Supervisor vacancy is for a position due to start ASAP, with an opportunity for a school based contract for the successful Cover Supervisor.

After a successful meeting with the head - we have set up and induction programme for future teachers just like you. This will involve you shadowing one of the schools experienced cover supervisors before taking your first step into teaching.

As a Cover Supervisor, your role will involve delivering pre planned lessons in the absence of the teacher. In addition to this, you will be delivering intervention sessions on a 1:1 and small group basis in your subject specialism.

In their most recent Estyn inspection, the school was graded 'Good' in all areas. The school are seeking a Cover Supervisor who can meet the schools high standards, and hit the ground running.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
