Cover Supervisor

Do you want to work within the education sector but have limited to no experience? Not to worry, a secondary school in the South Tyneside area wants to recruit dedicated and caring individuals with a background in working with children as a Cover Supervisor.

In this role, you will be tasked with managing behaviour within the classroom and ensuring that pupils complete the work that is set by the Class Teacher. The role will start on a temporary contract with a view to go permanent for the right candidate.

Ideally, you will have a degree or experience dealing with children of a secondary age, however a candidate with a great personality who wants to get into the Education sector will also be considered.

The successful candidate will have:

• University degree is desired but not essential
• A DBS (or be willing to get one during registration)
• Experience working with children within some capacity
• Passion to support students and the ambition to progress within the education sector
• A kind, caring personality and great attitude
• The ability to manage confrontation and challenging behaviour
• Patience, understanding and empathy with pupils
