Cover Supervisor - Wigan

A well-structured and diverse secondary school in Wigan are looking to recruit a Cover Supervisor to join their support team on a flexible ongoing basis ASAP

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be a valued member of support staff working across all departments as you will be called upon to cover lessons in the absence of the class teacher for reasons such as short term sickness and training. You will report to the school’s cover manager who will brief you on your timetable for the day. The school will prepare the work for you to deliver to the class and so subject knowledge is not essential. You will ensure that pupils complete the work and collect it in at the end of the lesson.

 

  • Flexible day to day cover work which works around your availability 

  • Monday to Friday, 9am-3pm (term time only)

  • Earning GBP1140 a month if working full-time

  • Supporting a local secondary school in Wigan during teacher absences

  • Fantastic opportunity for graduates and aspiring secondary school teachers 

  • Confidence with classroom and behaviour management is essential 

  • Previous experience working with young people is very desirable
