Cover Supervisor - Teaching Experience

Teaching Personnel are working with a number of secondary schools in the South Lincolnshire area who are looking for regular Graduate Cover Supervisors to work in their schools on a daily basis. This time of year shows an influx in day to day cover which is required and a number of our schools in the Spalding, Bourne, Boston and Sleaford area ask for Graduate Cover Supervisors to cover.

The role of a Gradate Cover Supervisor involves:

  • Deliver work which is already set to students in full class settings
  • Cover in the absence of the full class teacher: no planning or marking responsibilities
  • Engage with a class of students, ensuring they remain on task and complete the set work
  • Gain highly valuable paid work experience in a secondary school environment
  • Ideal to support any future PGCE application

The role of a Graduate Cover Supervisor as outlined above is beneficial for a confident and adaptable graduate who is looking for work in a secondary school and is perhaps a prospective future teacher. The schools we work with in the areas advised above are supportive of graduates and regularly ask for the same graduates back for continuity purposes.

Highlights of the Graduate Cover Supervisor position:

  • Pay ranging between £65 - £85 per day depending upon prior experience and specific school
  • Fulfil the role of a cover supervisor, managing full classes and covering lessons already pre-planned
  • Gain invaluable experience supporting a future PGCE application

This role would suit a graduate of any degree specialism but one that has experience in supporting in an educational setting. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
