Youth Worker – South Manchester

Are you an aspiring teacher? Got experience with children and young adults? If you are looking for a job working with pupils that are disengaged from learning and want to make a difference in children’s life’s then Teaching Personnel have the job for you. South Manchester Secondary schools have shown a keen interest having a Youth Worker working across the schools working with disengaged students and alongside teachers in classrooms. The post will be full time or part time position dependant on the successful candidate.

Teaching Personnel work on behalf of a number of schools in the South Manchester and on a daily basis we give an induction to many candidates into the schools. The opportunity will be a brilliant for any candidate who is aspiring to be a teacher and wanting to gain that extra experience. The role of the Youth Worker will include them working closely with the department head and attending the needs of the individual pupil. The successful Youth Worker will need to be a positive influence to all the pupils and bring enthusiasm into the classroom and into learning.

The role of the Youth Worker will include the successful candidate to be flexible and adaptable as the role will consist of covering in the absence of teachers. The successful candidate will be assisting in lessons, 1:1 with pupils and on a whole classroom placement. A clear understanding of the national curriculum and safeguarding procedures is expected of the Youth worker.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
