Cover Supervisor required for a full-time rolling contract in a Preston High School

Teaching Personnel are working alongside a mainstream high school in Preston who are looking to recruit a full-time Cover Supervisor to assist them with their additional cover needs in the new term. The HR Manager is looking to see potential candidates for a 'trial day/interview' early September with a view to starting after the October half-term.

Graduates with a degree in Maths, English, Science or PE are highly desirable but any graduates with aspirations of embarking on a career in education would be considered for this role. In addition to your degree the successful candidate must have experience working with children in either, a School, Youth Work, Sports Coaching or Health & Social Care setting. Lastly the ability to effectively manage behaviour in a classroom is essential and you must be proactive, flexible and reliable.

The school is a coeducational secondary school based in Fulwood and it is a voluntary aided school administered by Lancashire County Council and the Roman Catholic Diocese. It has the Catholic faith at the heart of the school. The school itself is going through a transition period and finds itself currently in requires improvement. It is a smaller than average school and is currently meeting the governments' floor standards for pupil attainment. Behaviour is generally good in school and the pupils are respectful of teachers and support staff.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
