Looking for a Complex Needs Support Worker to join a school supporting learners with Complex Needs and Challenging Behaviour. The Complex Needs Support Worker will be based in a KS3 class supporting learners who are early secondary age. Pupils have various additional needs including ASD and Challenging behaviour and the ideal applicant will have experience supporting children or adults with additional needs.

Summary: As a Complex Needs Support Worker you will…

  • Support a small class of learners (around 4/6) both 1:1 and in small groups.
  • You will help manage behaviour and reduce challenging behaviour.
  • Working closely with other support staff throughout the school day.
  • Support with personal care and support with feeding over break and lunch time.
  • Ensure the classroom is a safe learning environment and help with general classroom duties.
  • Follow safeguarding procedures.
  • Work closely with teaching and medical staff to support students and evaluate progress.

The school are looking for someone who can commit to a full-time position with the possibility of going permanent for the right individual. The school provides education for learners with additional needs from ages 3 – 19 offering specialist support and therapies.

Requirements for the Position

  • Enhanced child workforce DBS which is registered with the update service
  • Level 2 Safeguarding Qualification
  • 2 References

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
