Cover Supervisor - Secondary Schools

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for Cover Supervisors for a number of Secondary Schools in Bristol and South Gloucestershire. The start date for these positions is September 2018 - however, if you are available immediately there may be opportunities to start at the end of the current school term on a supply basis.
What You Will Be Doing:
A Cover Supervisor is a non-qualified teaching post, however the successful candidate should be confident in leading a pre-planned lesson.
The work will be set prior to the lesson and so you will not be required to teach. Knowledge of the curriculum is not required but the successful candidate will be required to help the pupils if needed.
Good behaviour management is necessary to ensure the pupils behaviour is managed effectively in line with the schools guidelines.
Previous experience in a UK school is required.
You must have a valid DBS which is also on the update service. If you do not have this you cannot work in any of our schools. Teaching Personnel can assist you with applying for this if needed.
The Schools We Work With:
We work with schools and academies all over the Bristol and South Gloucestershire areas. Most of our schools are accessible via public transport and so your own transport is not a requirement to work with us.
The behaviour in our schools is generally of a good standard - we don't work with any schools that are overly challenging.
As well as Secondary, we also work with Primary and Special Educational Needs schools so please also get in touch if you would like Cover Supervisor roles in either of these.
