Job description

Teaching Personnel are looking to appoint a cover supervisor on behalf of our client school in Newcastle Upon Tyne. Roles offered include both long term and day-to-day absence cover and will involve yourself managing pre-prepared lessons to multiple year groups. The school are looking to appoint a cover supervisior as soon as possible, with the outlook of making a successful candidate a permenant member of staff.

The position:

  • Full time and Part time Graduates are very suitable for the role
  • Opportunity to gain classroom experience prior to starting a PGCE
  • Classroom management in the absence of the teacher
  • Supporting pupils in small groups and on a 1:1 basis in lessons
  • Covering pre-set work by the teacher, ensuring all pupils are engaging with the tasks left by the teacher
  • Working directly alongside the other teachers to develop activities
  • Opportunity to earn £55 - 70 per day

With over 1,000 pupils on roll, the school is significantly larger than average and due to this they are always looking for extra support on both a full and part time basis. Students are well behaved and the school prides it self on its inclusive and caring atmosphere.
