Job description

Cover supervisors needed to work in secondary schools throughout Greater Manchester. If you are currently looking to gain secondary school experience prior to starting a teacher training programme then cover supervising is the perfect opportunity to do so.

Teaching Personnel support secondary schools with their staffing by providing graduates, youth workers and social workers to assist their own permanent teachers teaching to classes of up to 30 students. If you are already working as a cover supervisor or looking to gain additional school based before starting a PGCE/teacher training programme we welcome your application.

We are looking to find cover supervisors to work in secondary schools across the boroughs of Tameside, Stockport, Manchester and Trafford. Cover supervisors take on the role of a teacher delivering set lessons; ensuring students remain on task and follow the schools behaviour policy.

Highlights of the cover supervisor role;

  • Pay on a weekly basis ranging from GBP275-GBP350 per week
  • First hand teaching experience to support a teacher training application
  • Opportunity to work in a variety of secondary schools 
  • Teaching multiple subjects across to students aged 11-16

  • Degree or educational based experience
  • Desire to become a teacher of the future
  • Flexible work schedule and willingness to travel
  • Fully enhanced DBS and school based references
