Secondary schools we work closely with, in the South Manchester area are looking for confident and motivated graduates that are keen to work within the education sector. The successful graduate or even experienced Cover Supervisor should be able to manage a classroom of children aged 11 - 16 in a variety of secondary schools. This role of a Cover Supervisor will provide the graduate with valuable experience within a secondary school setting and benefit an aspirational teacher, possibly looking to complete a PGCE in the future.

The successful Cover Supervisor should therefore be flexible and adaptable; able to work within different environments and cover lessons in a variety of subjects.

Highlights of this teaching position:

  • Gain extremely valuable experience within a secondary school in South Manchester, areas such as:
      • Didsbury, Sale, Burnage, Heaton Moor, Stockport
  • Work within supportive schools where leadership teams look to recruit graduates
  • Various opportunities to develop into a long term positions and even take on teacher training in the future.

The key to the Cover Supervisor role is ensuring that students are interacted with and engaging them in the subject(s) being covered

The successful Cover Supervisors should be confident, able to exercise classroom management skills and should be able to deal with any behavioural issues which may arise. We work with a variety of schools including single gender all girls and all boys schools as well as schools which have sixth forms as part of their cohort.

This role is highly suitable for:

  • Graduates with prior experience working with young people
  • Individual with Cover Supervisor experience, with strong classroom management
  • Confident individuals who are able to engage well with secondary school aged students
  • Youth workers who may be looking for more school based experience
  • Those looking for school based experience whilst earning up to £65 per day

Prior experience in a secondary school is not essential but the successful individual should be confident and have strong classroom management skills.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
