Are you looking for a new exciting role in education? Would you like to develop your skills inside of the classroom without the stress of being a Teacher?
Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a Cover Supervisor on behalf of one of our partner schools in the Peterlee area. As a Cover Supervisor, you will be tasked with covering lessons that Teachers are absent for and delivering work that they have left. You will need to have good behaviour management skills and be confident delivering information to students. Experience is not necessary, but would be beneficial. If you have worked with children in any capacity and want to get into teaching, this could be the perfect chance!
The School:
- Ofsted rated 'Good' school located in the outer Easington area
- Progress 8 score that has seen a consistent increase over the last 3 years
- Easily accessible by car & public transport from Durham, Sunderland and Peterlee
The Role:
- Full Time role commencing after February Half Term until the summer (potential to be extended)
- Delivering cover work/work left by the department to Key Stages 3&4 (11-16 year olds)
- Specialist support and Cover Supervisor training provided by Teaching Personnel, first course 5th February
Candidate Requirements:
- Be a graduate OR have experience working with children in a personal OR professional capactity
- Ability to commit to full time work
- Be an enthusiastic person who buys into the whole school philosophy and wants to see the pupils thrive
- Flexible in their ability to deliver different subjects
- Willing to receive regular feedback and advice to develop their skills in the classroom
