Cover Supervisor

Due to increase in demand, Teaching Personnel are seeking Cover Supervisors for a partnership Secondary school in Torfaen.

We are seeking Cover Supervisors to start immediately for both full time or part time roles ranging from daily bookings to long term assignments.  Working as a Cover Supervisor is the perfect role for anyone that is interested in becoming a teacher in the future!

GBP60 - GBP70 a day (Dependant on experience)

You must be available to work the usual school hours  Mon-Fri (8.30-3.30).

What does a Cover Supervisor do?

This Cover Supervisor role consists of liaising with the school cover manager on a daily basis in order to cover lessons for absent teachers across the curriculum. You will cover a range of different subjects at KS3 and KS4 and be required to explain pre-set tasks to students and support them (where possible) as they complete them.  All lessons will be preplanned so you simply need to ensure the students stay on task and complete the work given to them.  

The ideal candidate will be confident, and be able to build positive relationships with both colleagues and students quickly. 

It is very important that whilst working as a Cover Supervisor you maintain classroom discipline in line with the school discipline policy.

Requirements:

• A degree (or strong academic background) in any subject
• You must be organised and reliable
• Valid DBS - Teaching Personnel can help you apply for this.
• You must have previous experience working/volunteering with children.
