Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a variety of cover supervisors to register for work as schools get busier with day-to-day cover requests. These temporary positions are with several schools we work with. The cover supervisors will benefit from gaining valuable experience at supporting in these schools as well as competitive pay whilst working in these supportive environments.

The role of Cover Supervisor would be best suited to graduates/upcoming graduates, PGCE applicants or TA’s looking to take the next step, who want to gain flexible supply work in the classroom to build their teaching skills and experience. You’d be expected to deliver pre-set work in the absence of the classroom teacher. The role commands a certain level of flexibility as you may be delivering and supervising classes varying in size, ability, and age. 

Location: Secondary schools within the Blandford Forum area.

Day to Day, Full Time & Part Time opportunities available.

To be a Cover Supervisor I am looking for:

  • A recent University Graduate with a Secondary subject degree
  • A current Cover Supervisor who has front of the class experience
  • A youth worker or coach who again has experience of working with children
  • A Teaching Assistant looking to take the next step up
  • A Care assistant who is passionate about education and supporting students

As a Cover Supervisor you will be:

  • Asked to deliver pre planned material to a full class
  • Be prepared to have full responsibility of the classroom
  • Focused on keeping the students engaged
  • Flexible and have a passion for education and learning
  • Have excellent classroom and behaviour management skills; a classroom can potentially be of up to 30 students

As a Cover Supervisor you can work in some great schools and work with the students, supporting, encouraging, and interacting in a range of different lessons.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
