A reputable secondary school based in Swindon is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join their team on a permanent or temporary basis, starting in September 2024. Role Overview:

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of our classrooms and supporting our students' learning journey. You will step into the shoes of absent teachers, maintaining a positive and productive learning atmosphere in their absence. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a genuine interest in education and a desire to gain hands-on experience in the classroom before pursuing a teacher training course.


Key Responsibilities:

• Supervising and managing the behavior of students in the classroom during teacher absences.
• Delivering pre-prepared lesson plans and materials effectively, ensuring students remain engaged and focused.
• Supporting students with their learning, offering guidance and encouragement when required.
• Creating a safe and inclusive learning environment where students feel comfortable to participate and ask questions.
• Assisting with classroom administration, such as taking attendance and providing feedback on student progress.


Requirements:

• A passion for education and a strong desire to work with young learners.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Adaptable and able to handle varying classroom situations with a positive attitude.
• Patience, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with students.
• A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent educational qualification.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
