We are expanding our workforce as we experience an increase in demand for Cover Supervisors, to support with short term cover at Secondary Schools in the Biggleswade and surrounding Bedfordshire area.

Cover Supervisors play an excellent role which is fundamental as a support staff in Secondary Schools. The role involves delivering pre-set work and managing a class of 20-30 students in the absence of the teacher. You will not be expected to mark, plan or assess, but ensure the pupils are staying on task and controlling behaviour. 

This is a fantastic route for Graduates to get experience in education if you are considering a career in teaching. You will gain experience through flexible working on a supply basis, with access to long-term opportunities that arise. 

You will need to be flexible, have a desire to work with young people, with a calm but confident manner. 

To be considered for this position, you will have the following qualifications and skills:

  • A passion for working with children
  • Ability to communicate confidently
  • Be able to engage with and motivate across different age groups (age 12+)
  • Have a strong work ethic
  • Be organised, reliable and trustworthy
  • Have a passion for your subject area
  • Be flexible and open to future training prospects

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
