Cover supervisor
Teaching personnel are looking to appoint an experienced HLTA/Cover Supervisor within the Plymouth area.
Monday – Friday 8:15am – 3:30pm Term Time only
The role will include covering lessons planned by the teacher, managing classroom behaviour, ensuring pupils remain on task and complete the learning set. This would be an ideal role for someone looking to gain experience with more responsibility withing the classroom. You must be able to speak to pupils in a manner which encourages and supports them ensuring they are able to reach their full potential and beyond.
Daily tasks:
Managing classroom behaviour
Following lesson plans
Work alongside the schools timetable
Collecting work completed by the pupils and organizing it appropriately
Skills and experience you’ll need:
- GCSE minimum grade C or equivalent functional skills in English and Maths
- Experience working with children in an educational setting
- Have a passion for every child achieving beyond what they might have thought possible
- Have a strong commitment to safeguarding
- Have a determination to secure positive progress and high aspirations for and with students
- Are committed to nurture a child’s happiness and enjoyment of school and life
- Are an enthusiastic individual with a good sense of humour
- Build positive relationships with pupils

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
