Job description

Teaching Personnel are very excited to be able to offer you the opportunity to take part in a unique CPD event which is partnered with an outstanding school. This CPD event is especially designed for those who wish to gain experience working in Secondary Schools as a Cover Supervisor. This is an excellent opportunity to gain a better understanding of what is expected from you when taking on the role of a Cover Supervisor. Beneficial for those looking to gain valuable experience in a classroom setting before perusing teacher training or for those looking for a permanent role within a school.

The session, which will be held on 26th June at a school in Bournemouth, will be delivered by a highly experienced and successful leader in a consistently Ofsted Outstanding School.

The session will include;

  • An overview of the key duties of the Cover Supervisor role.
  • What you need to know to make a successful impact.
  • Strategies and tips on behaviour management.
  • Advice and tips on supervising unfamiliar subjects.
  • Ideas, best practise sharing and more.

Designed to provide you with a good general understanding of the Cover Supervisor role, and fully supported by Teaching Personnel who will work with you to find paid Cover Supervisor roles. This session will also include a certificate of completion for your own portfolio.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
