Job description

To help assist with planned and emergency absences, particularly in the busy Autumn term, we are currently recruiting for 2 rolling Cover Supervisors to support a variety of departments dependant on the specific needs of the school. There is one part time position with flexible hours available as well as one full time position with interviews starting at the soonest convenience.

  • Earn up to £1400 a month dependent on experience and responsibilities
  • Full and part time hours available with the option to work on a flexible basis
  • Modern school in Oldham with a huge recent refurbishment, graded 'Good' by Ofsted
  • Opportunity of further development through Teaching Personnel's CPD training courses

The school is graded 'Good' by Ofsted and will require a high quality Cover Supervisor to continue their traditions of delivering high results and upholding a strong reputation in the community. Located a short distance from Royal Oldham Hospital in Long Sight, the school has state of the art facilities and a strong support structure set in place, providing excellent learning and working provisions for all within the school community.

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering a pre planned lesson plan in the absence of the teacher in a variety of different departments, dependent on the needs of the school on the day.
  • Ensuring the schools behaviour policy is enforced and all pupils are behaving in a good manner.
  • Offering support to students and answering and queries they may have with the set work provided.
  • Collaborating with the department and reporting on pupils progress to teachers and parents, assisting in their development.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
