Cover Supervisors Required

  • £60 - £75 per day
  • Providing cross curricular cover supervision
  • Must have a child workforce DBS on the update service

Teaching Personnel are recruiting Cover Supervisors for day-to-day absence and subject specialists to fill long-term vacancies in Burton upon Trent and Swadlincote and the surrounding areas as we have a partnership with The De Ferrers Trust.

Cover Supervisors are non-teaching staff who look after a whole class of children while the regular teacher is absent. A cover supervisor will mainly assist where lesson plans have been left and will not participate in active learning, a higher bearing is placed on behavioural management in this role.

The ideal candidates would be those who have classroom experience as a Teaching Assistant, Cover Supervisor or HLTA, candidates who have been supply teaching, those who have part completed their NQT year or graduates considering a career in teaching.

The role requires:

Strong behaviour management skills

Ability to use initiative

Excellent curriculum knowledge

Delivering work and setting homework previously prepared by the teacher

Undertaking observations of the pupils and contributing to pupil records
