Teaching Personnel are currently working with a secondary school in the Burton On Trent area (so it would be essential to have access to a car on a daily basis), who are looking to recruit effective cover supervisors with secondary school experience or who are looking to progress into a teaching career in the future. The roles will range from day to day cover to long term assignments, some being subject specific other roles covering a variety of subjects.

The school promotes ‘positive attitudes for students and teachers and seeks to achieve a happy and safe learning environment where students are able to get the best out of their learning experiences’.

The role of a cover supervisor is to supervise and assist classes across the curriculum in following a programme of study during the short-term absence of teachers. To provide pastoral and administrative support, and to get involved in the extra-curricular life of the school. The right candidate will promote positive values and attitudes with student behaviour, encouraging students to interact and work co-operatively with others and set challenging and demanding expectations and general support duties with the school


To be considered for this role, you need to:

• Be a recent graduate looking to continue your development within the education sector

• Be available for day to day and long term positions

• Have an understanding of classroom and safeguarding as well as behavioural management

• Have or willing to obtain an up to date DBS certificate

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
