Teaching Personnel are recruiting for degree graduates (preferable 2:1 or above) who wish to apply for a PGCE in 2018/19 or who have an interest in working with Secondary School pupils.

At Teaching Personnel we have a number of PSA agreements working with schools throughout South Yorkshire on an exclusive basis. Most PGCE courses ask for at least two weeks work experience in your chosen age range, so why not get that experience by working in a school and earning money at the same time. Schools invest a lot of time and energy into their graduates and often they end up completing their training course through that school.

There are four main roles that we offer in Secondary Schools. The one that closely resembles that of a Qualified Teacher is a Cover Supervisor'. In order to work as a Cover Supervisor with Teaching Personnel you must be a Degree Graduate, have a strong presence and be willing to learn and undergo in house training if you haven't got previous experience.

Cover Supervisor:

-Acting as an unqualified teacher, successfully manage behaviour of an entire class and ensure all work set is completed.

Learning Support Assistant:

-Working 1:1 with a child

Teaching Assistant:

-Assisting the class Teacher, and contributing to the whole class.

Intervention Specialist:

-Working 1:1 or with small groups to raise attainment in your specialist area. The bulk of this work is in English, Maths and Science.
